Tide Graph App Reviews

19 Customer Reviews:

As an avid boater and user of tide apps on my iPad and iPod Touch Ive been waiting for one for the iMac. This one fills the bill. The graph with the movable cursor on the timeline is what all my favorite tide apps use and this one has it along with the option of seeing the data in the more traditional list format. What is still missing is a "Favorites" function where you can choose a tide station from your list of most used stations. As it is you have to keep going back to the map and selecting another tide station which is a little tedious. Were it not for that I would give it 5 stars.

Cant Select Location

I dont live in Longbeach CA so this is useless. I cant select any other location. Clicking on the map only enlarges the map. Not intuitive.

Pretty darn good!

I give it 4 stars because it doesnt auto update the time of day.

I have tide graphs for my iPhone & iPad that are better. This one doesnt auto-update the time, the method of clicking on a map pin is awkward if it doesnt find your location, it does not specify whether the chart uses standard time or daylight time, so I had to compare it to one that I knew to gather that data.

Cannot get the application to change locations. I am on the East Coast. But it only shows Southern California. Clicking on the map button does not enable one to change ports. Perhaps it is a bug? But for the moment, it is a waste of money unless one lives in Santa Barbara. I am running OSX 10.8.1. Perhaps the current app is not compatible with the newly updated Mountain Lion??

I really liked the map option where you could select a tide station by clicking on it. Although this stopped working in Version 1.1 I use Tide Graph on my iPhone 4 as well as iPad and love the App. I think the Mac version is cool as well just had some bugs. If you can figure out a way to bring the Map based Tide Station selection back and have it work propperly it would be awesome.

I am giving it a 4.5 round to 5. Improtant *** Saw someone that cant get it to work; you have to load your tide station from the menu bar at the top of the screen and it works great. What it lacks: I live in Charleston, 6 foot tides 3 rivers feeding the Harbor, tide is imortant and the stations covered in the app are sufficient for my needs. However in Myrtle Beach where I spend a lot of my water time, no tide station for Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside, Murrellss. I have to look at 2 tide stations 40 miles apart to get the tide view of the area I play in. Not a big deal but it is a big gap. Good job so far and let fill in the gaps. Great job on the calendar side drop down, perfect for planning a head.

After loading update, the graphics are no longer available. They said an update is coming in a few days, but still not available. Very disappointing. Stick with iphone apps until this get fixed.

Tide Graph - Florida

Very useful, have boat on canal with low tide problems getting on and off lift. This works great and very accurate.

This provides decent tide information. Not very pretty, but gets the job done. Beware of some bugs. If you try to resize the window, the app will hang and then crash.

It simply does not work, it hangs right from the start, shown as “not responding”. I have tried to start this app on iMAC, on MAC Pro, not woking application at all. I had 0 successiful starts. Don’t care about $1.99 but in a general principle I am asking for money back!

Can’t Change the location.

If I could change the location it would be great. I live in Texas, not California.

I use this app to figure out whether it’s worth to bring my dog to the beach (low level = mud spa treatment I’m not looking forward to). I do like the map feature so I can adjust the location to wherever I want to go around the SF Bay Area. Exactly what I was looking for and what I need.

bad app now

It used to work for snow leapord and the company is not responding any more dont buy I cannot upgrade yet due to software.

I’ve used Tide Graph for years on my iPhone and love it. Just downloaded the desktop app and really like the addition of tide tables. Improvements I would like to see on the desktop app include: 1) Resize windows. Tide table window in particular does not show entire month without scrolling; 2) Add ability to print graph / map / table. 3) Add one-page printable summary with larger table and mini-graphs for quick view of changing conditions; 4) geo-locate nearest stations on desktop app

Map does not work

I have this on my iPhone - works great. On the Mac, the map does not work when moving around to select a tide station, there is a bug. fix and I give 5 stars like the iPhone version.
